aniMate+ is here and it's the next step in GoFigure's efforts to make 3D animation fun and accessible to anyone. aniMate+ is a plugin to DAZ Production's free 3D tool called DAZ Studio. aniMate+ takes the same building block approach that aniMate does and adds the following advanced editing features: Multiple Track LayoutNow you can see the tracks of multiple characters or objects all at the same time. This much requested feature will be extremely useful for syncing up interactive animations. Animate any ObjectAny object can now have a timeline. Cameras, lights and props can now take life by creating aniBlocks specifically for them and using the same sequencing power that you use with your characters. I've got to tell you that aniMating the camera is at least as fun as animating the character....drama. Tracks and Sub-TracksTracks and Sub-Tracks give you the ability to add rich dimension to your project. aniMate+ tracks can be masked to affect only the bones you specify. Sub-Tracks can be set to "add to" or "override" their Base Track. Want your characters neutral pose(as if it was built that way) to be hunched over, create a hunched over aniBlock in a new sub-track. Want your character to have some twitches and other ambient movements? Put those into another sub-track. Want to completely override the hand gestures or even an entire limb? Put that into an overriding sub-track. Audio BlocksAdd audio blocks to any track and then move them around to construct conversations, add background music or sound effects. Morph BlocksYou can now construct your own morph blocks. Morph blocks can be put on any track but will be most affective by putting them in their own sub-tracks for things like expressions or breathing. Morph blocks add an incredible level of realism that we are sure you'll love. Keyframe EditingOk, this one is a biggy. You now have the ability to zoom into any aniBlock and easily see where your key frames are. You can add delete, copy, paste and move your keyframes around in a very visual way. The coolest thing is all your edits are all still held in a nice portable little package called an aniBlock. So now on to the most amazing part of aniBlock keyframe editing... Levels! LevelsLevels are keyframe layers that are used to offset the animation of the base keyframe level. So let's say you have an aniBlock where the character kicks in the air about chest height and you want the kick to go well above the head. You can now go to "Level 1" and add a new keyframe at the peak of the kick that rotates the leg to it's new height. You didn't re-key the base level, you added an offset that can easily be adjusted or deleted altogether, leaving your original keyframes untouched. It's a very liberating way to edit anything without the fear of messing anything up. If that sounds really cool to you, guess what...it's even cooler than you think. You will love it!
